Finland for Thought
Politics, current events, culture - In Finland & United States

Tervetuloa | Welcome
I'm an American who's been living in Finland for six years (damn!). I started this blog to address some of the political, cultural, and current event issues in Finland and the United States.

...but mostly what you'll find here is: Finnish and American stereotypes, Funny YouTube videos about Finland, rants about our high taxes and low salaries, and [not-so] comedic differences between Finns and Americans. Enjoy! :-)

Bandwidth limits exceeded

I’ve exceeded my bandwidth limits on my server and I’m now I’m getting charged per GB. Yesterday alone, 349 GB of bandwidth was used for Finland for Thought, a typical day it’s about 500 MB. So you’ll need to use bit torrent to download the video clips…

Click here to download the torrent file for both Tuesday night’s and Wednesday night’s video clips.

UPDATE:
Many many thanks to Ville Valtonen, he posted the clips on his site:

October 11th
October 12th

And be sure to listen tonight to Radio Free Finland at 10pm Finnish Time for a live interview with Mikko Jokipii, he was the guy interviewed on the Conan O’Brien show. We’ll be discussing his experience on the show and Conan’s possible upcoming visit to Finland!

  1. Will the pieces be legitimate? Currently the downloads have been “fair use” as they are tiny (most are less than 5 minutes) and for private use. I dont want to have Suffolk Police, kicking down the door, with a court order.

  2. BTW ilta-sanomat today; halonen’s campaign agency decided to use the publicity and now are sponsoring Conan o’Brien show on SubTV.

So Conan may indeed get an invitation to the “Castle” ;)

  3. Maybe next 6.12. they could send Triumph to interview the “anarchists” at the terminally drainbamaged Kuokkavieraat-demo…
