Most polarizing Finnish song ever? “Baden Baden” by Chisu

Tags: Uncategorized — Author: @ 2:11 pm

Wow, I’ve never heard such a polarizing Finnish song before. Released over the summer, people either absolutely adore this or loathe this. Check out “Baden Baden” by Chisu… (then let us know if you love it or hate it!)

    Oh yeah? Take that!!

I give it a hefty thumbs down..now I’m off to listen to some Norwegian black metal to purge my ears.

I wish that finnish female singers had a voice, but they all sound like duckwhistles…

    This is absolutely fabulous!
The words are the best part, creative and lovely.
As for polarizing songs, try “Mitä tapahtui Hokkasen Timolle?”. It just has more than two poles :)

    oh BARF !!

    Most polarizing Finnish song ever?
I’m probably not very attentive to Finnish music,
but that song doesn’t impress me much, neither
    as voice/rythm nor as lyrics.

For me it’s hard both to love and loathe it.

  • Wha?

Chisu just sucks. I HATE all her music.

  • Baggie

“Baden Baden” definitely has the most stupid lyrics of all times. “Let’s bottle our tear drops and sell them to the fountains of Baden Baden”. And this is not the most stupid part of the lyrics. And the melody sucks also.

And of course nobody knows why the artist name Chisu is written with “ch”, and how to pronounce it: in Spanish or in Italian way. If it were written “Kisu” as Finns might expect, it meant “pussy”, maybe that’s why it is mangled.

    i love that song!

What is the big deal with this song? Polarizing?

At least it’s not just mumbo jumbo lyrics like most techno pop.

Collecting your tears and sending them somewhere… now that’s almost poetry, these days.

  • Fat Bastard

I would say the most polarizing song in Finland is Armi & Danny’s Tahdon olla sulle hyvin hellä. That shit makes my head explode.

  • muusikko

Wow. A Finnish song based on the Major scale, NOT the Minor!? This can’t be real. Does this mean that Finns are moving closer to Swedes, musically speaking? ABBA and shit?

  • oldfart

luv it! i’m 60 and can dance to it. screw all of you music nazis.

  • Klara

    I like it alot.
