Vartti.fi: Molly Malone’s not paying salaries, abusing foreigners

Tags: Everything — Author: @ 1:38 pm

Wow, what a coincidence. Just a few weeks after I mentioned how Molly Malone’s wouldn’t pay me for work I did there, there’s an article on Vartti.fi about other foreigners having the exact same problem. (Sorry, in Finnish, translate here)

at least you can use your feet to go elsewhere, unlike under nanny care where they take your money, and say so sorry.

  • Johnny

I dont believe in this a bit as the owner is a friend of mine. Let him tell his own story first, so give the man some slack!

Doesn’t this suit well to your libertarian ideology, Winter and Phil? They don’t pay statutory premiums (boo! nanny state meddling with the market) and in Phil’s case don’t pay anything at all (because they know he won’t sue), all this because they can. They have more leverage, so then it is OK for them to exploit it, according to your ideology.

Yeah all this goverment regulation is overrated. Like who needs goverment poking their “laws” into the private contracts between individuals. I mean if its my business to enslave uninformed foreigners and then not pay them, then isn’t that just free market economy?

Yeh, but I have been led to believe by boasting Finns that,

“We are very honest people, you can trust Finns, we’re not like Russians etc, blah blah”

    What a load of codswallop

Libertarians are firm believer in contracts. Many libertarians believe that one of the few government’s duties is to uphold contracts.

To be fair to the Finns, the manager of Molly Malone’s is Irish.

How about your case? Did you receive yours or is the check still in the mail?

Good grief, what happened to the place? I mean, hell, they built that upstairs addition and suddenly the downstairs staff got snotty and I quit ever going there, but WTF is the real deal there?

@11 And Nokia will fail! Perhaps the device is good, but it comes with Windows. Nuff said…

I have to agree with Johnny that not all sides of the story is told. Thats always the case, people tell their story but leave out certain information. In the case of Mollys and the staff then hell its hard to choose who is wrong as there is not much given about it.

Nokia went to the evil side? Gee and I though a Big Mac attack in Finland was all the evil USA could do to you.

Ha… we finally won, and it took Microsoft to do you all in.

Phil?? Did Microsoft take the brouser out?

We are the Borg, and you are now all assimulated.

Get to work and pay more taxes.
