If I were less charitable, I would say they were probably sick with something before they left and blew their last savings on a final blowout, now they’re trying to blame it on the Mexicans.

Ha, that reminds me that right now, China, USA, Cuba, Argentina , Russia , France and other countries ARE already blaming us , to the point of shutting down the aerial traffic and in the case of France, sending the Mexican airplanes to the most remote part of the airport and hell, they even requested the EU to stop the traffic … the EU said : haha, keep dreaming; is not even necessary! Some countries here got carried away too much !

Nora, it might be easy to blame the media, but when the CDC and WHO hold several day-long press conferences, and when the WHO raises its threat level to its highest ever (one notch below “RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!”, there is more to it than the media.

As a Mexican inhabitant, all I will say is that in my perspective, there has been too much scandal about this flue … By this I don’t try to diminish the importance of the disease , I just say that media has just made this unfortunate event into a three rings circus where everything is half told truths and blown out of proportion lies… I you turn on the TV or the radio, all you could hear was the flue this, and that ,to the point you actually end up feeling sick, product of the massive hysteria ! Right now, things are ” normal” again … kids are going to school, business ( cinemas, theaters, strip clubs and bars ) are open again…. I think that in a couple of months , it will be pretty much safe for tourist to come here again …. and as always, us Mexicans will end up forgetting this chapter in our story …
