Tags: Everything — Author: @ 3:15 pm

Happy Independence Day! Sucks that it falls on a weekend this year, so no days off for us. Did anyone notice that Alko closed early yesterday? I arrived around 18.00 to join the dozen others staring aimlessly at the closed liquor store.

So do you then watch the movie

    Independence Day? Kill some alien’s?

  • N. Siinistö

    Another difference:
Finland: Commemorating fot the nth time the ass-beating Russia gave us in 1939-44.
U.S.: Planning new countries to invade.

  • Winter

Hah, I remember Kofi at the UN asking for Bushes help with Darfur, right after her said Bush was a bad guy for invading Iraq.

So, no help from the USA. Bush siad no to the invasion for oil.

Yea, got to love the new world order, its all yours now, Chairman Obam is stuck in the don’t invade corner, so More NO’s, and Frack No’s comming the UN way.

  • ass

OMG, Anna Abreu had the prettiest dress at presidential ball!!

  • J.M

    Karpela didn’t look bad either.

Indeed winter. Good that it’s on other hands and we can start finally build safe world and not attack every other country ;)

  • Paul

Oh come on! There must be *some* fireworks surely?

  • Dave the Extrapolator

Winturd: you use the term “chairman” as some sort of slur-title (in your weak mind) for Obama, but you DO realize that the US has more than its share of REAL chairmen:

    The chairman of Enron
    The chairman of Citibank
    The chairman of Ford
    The chairman of GM
    The chairman of Chrysler
    The chairman of Halliburton
    The chairman of ExxonMobil
    The chairman of Shell Oil
The chairmen of all of the defence contractors across the US

and on and on and on… We have MUCH more to be afraid of than “Chairman Obama,” as you well know. How are those stocks holding out, eh winturd? How’s the painted sauna? Feeling the refinancing was maybe not such a good idea?

“Good that it’s on other hands and we can start finally build safe world and not attack every other country ”

Good and when will you actually start? Anytime soon? Or just words again?

By the way Chairman Obama will at some time meet his friend Chairman Mao, his Father Figure on how to run a country.

#7 Sorry paul, they’re for New Year. Fireworks on Independence Day is like lighting crackers at your granny’s funeral. The Finnish is more commemorating those who have given their lives so we could have independence – and how things are there isn’t much to celebrate about.

I’m more pissed I missed Åke Lindmans Finnish-Swede take as it came at noon.

  • Hank W.

Oh Phil, you’re enough of a Finn to go to the store a day *before* the “world ends” queues for a double weekend.

Anna Abreu’s dress was ugly. And Karpela’s was too, I didn’t like the color. Independence Day (too difficult word to write) is so sad because here in Lapland we have kaamos and that sucks. And nobody has party but everyone’s still drunk. And should we celebrate that thousands of soldiers died because of our independence? It’s so sad.

Karpela looked hot as always, I don’t care if she is on her 50th fiance.
