I would not say he followed Linkola word-to-word, now, but the ideological similarities are there, among a hodgepodge of other influences.

His mother is a supporter of Pentti Linkola, that guy who demands the abandonment of higher technology and a drastic reduction of global population, basically a return to the middle ages. It is clear from the “manifesto” that Pekka-Eric got heavily caught up in all that shit, it was probably a big contributing factor for this attack.
