Flying to Finland

The Desperate Housewives are upset at their neighbors’ sculpture which came from Finland…

Yeah, I saw this :) It was in last episode, but I guess they get to keep it coz the gay guys know what happened in Chicago :)

LOL…a $24,000 eyesore. Yeah, that sounds like public art in Finland. :D

Ever heard about the art work that was different bodily fluids (and solids) in blenders, each turning on/off at random. Someone said that the whole hall where that “artwork” was smelled.

Finland has good art as well. The better Finnish art, like Gallen-Kallela, is in Atheneum. There is also a seperate Gallen-Kallela museum somewhere near Leppävaara. There is a small art gallery in Koski TL of Liipola, who was a sculptor in the Austro-Hungarian empire, if you want to see sculptures.

Yes, well, after the blender exhibit it was useless to try convince people to change their opinion that “modern art is crap”

I think Finnish architecture is the best in the world (excluding those post-WWII flats and monopoly-looking homes), that’s certainly art.

IIRC, that was in Ateneum, pre-Kiasma and the “artist”

Looks like some cowboy is being too fast. I was trying to say that the “artist” was American. Possibly this work inspired the need for a separate building for contemporary art. ;)
