While they might not be “forced” into it, any one on a night out in Helsinki or some of the larger cities or a look through the right papers and magazines can easily find company if one wishes. I’ve never understood why we don’t just legalize it and get some control over it. Punter, prostitution is not illegal in Finland. It’s only illegal to pimp and to buy services from prostitutes who work for a pimp. There was an attempt to make prostitution illegal altogether a while ago, but the parliament didn’t approve of it.

This is all very entertaining but I don’t see what the big deal is. Just let the market do its thing and let the woman sell her service if she deems there’s demand. Personally, if I had the money, I’d see no problem paying her fees as opposed to having a year taken off your life expectancy every time you have to deal with these #@%## broads and their bs. Cordelia, a prostitute’s customer can only be punished if he knows (or at least thinks it’s probable) that he’s not dealing with an independent operator. It’s up to the prosecutor to prove what the accused knew.
