7.7.07 Most Popular Wedding Day

Tags: Uncategorized — Author: @ 1:51 am

Saturday, the seventh day of the seventh month of 2007 was the most popular day for weddings this year in Finnish Lutheran churches.

And you know years from now, dudes will STILL be forgetting their wedding day.

Wife: “Honey, do you know what today is??”
Husband: “I’m gonna say Saturday but I know I’m wrong.”

Here’s an interesting stat…

About 61 percent of Finns who get married each year – an average 17,237 couples – opt for a church wedding.

Heh, mine is easy to remember: it was friday 13th, a day before Valentine’s.

    It’s called defiant rationalism.

“I’m gonna say Saturday but I know I’m wrong.”

No, no, no…the correct answer is “It’s saturday.” with special emphasis on saturday so that it sounds so anticipated and revered that you don’t dare to call The Day with it’s correct name.

Not more than 17K wedding couples per year, not wonder the wedding photography business is slow here in Finland. Thanks for the information.

    All my best!
