Rudy Giuliani vs. Ron Paul - Why U.S. was attacked on 9/11

Tags: Uncategorized — Author: Phil @ 9:52 pm

Thanks to Kenneth over at Tundra Tabloids for this great video clip of the recent Republican Presidential Debate hosted by FOXNEWS. Congressman Ron Paul blames the 9/11 attacks on America’s interventionist foreign policy. Rudy Guliani blasts Paul for it, demands him to retract his statement, yet Paul persists and defends it.

Wow, I am really excited about Ron Paul and the upcoming U.S. Presidential elections. The more I hear from Dr. Paul, the more respect I have for him. The more I hear from Giuliani, the more I realize he’s just another reincarnation of Bush, there’s absolutely no difference between these two (Giuliani was only pretending to be liberal in order to win NYC voters). Anyone who thinks all these Middle Easterners want to harm the U.S. because they’re jealous of our “freedom” is just plain retarded.

Here’s the Paul/Giuliani debate…

Here’s how Rudy Giuliani’s entire campaign will be like… (seriously)

  1. Buu-huu, like fucking the rest of the world already knew that back in 2003. 600 000 Iraqis are DEAD because of your fuck up imbecile.

“Symbolically, a certain sign of the disaster to come in Iraq arrived via an April 26th posting from the courageous but anonymous Sunni woman who has, since August 2003, published the indispensable blog Baghdad Burning. Her family, she reported, was finally giving up and going into exile — joining up to two million of her compatriots who have left the country. In her final dispatch, she wrote:

“There are moments when the injustice of having to leave your country simply because an imbecile got it into his head to invade it, is overwhelming. It is unfair that in order to survive and live normally, we have to leave our home and what remains of family and friends…. And to what?”

    So FUCK YOU YANKEES!

  2. Military Spending Gets Forty Per Cent of Every Income Tax Dollar

“In 2006, according to the National Priorities Project, current military spending accounted for 27 cents of every income tax dollar paid. Additionally, NPP determined that nine cents of every federal income tax dollar paid today could be attributed to borrowing to pay for past wars and military build-ups. Finally, disability payments, health care and other benefits accrued to veterans made up a little over three cents of the federal income tax dollar, bringing total military spending up to close to 40 cents of every tax dollar”

    So Sieg Heil America!

  10. I like Guliani even less than W.

Despite his ignorant ways, I could see hanging out with W, drinking some beers and snorting a few lines. Allight, maybe that was the younger W, but I’m sure you get the idea. He’d be one of the guys.

In contrast, hanging out with Guliani would be like hanging out with Hitler. It would be novel at first. But ultimately if you drink too many beers, he might let his German Sheppard bite you. He’s more fit to run for NYC precinct councilman than for president.

Ron Paul would be cool. He might not get as wasted as you, but he’d enjoy watching you get wasted—in a medical/clinical sort of way. Most importantly, he wouldn’t be judgmental.

    I support Dr. Ron Paul.

  11. Guliani made it clear that he is seriously deluded. What Ron Paul said was absolutely true. If Guliani seriously has never heard that US foreign policy over the last 50 years has pissed off Muslims he is clearly in no position to lead this country.

A bunch of dumb rednecks agreed with Guliani. Fine. He’ll get the dumb redneck vote. Everyone who listened to what was actually said knows that Ron Paul is speaking the truth.

USA has to look at it self and the world and decide what will it want from the future.

  15. Yeah and all the other candidates wanted to get in on that comment to because they know their audience. Plus how do you think you are going to win a election by telling the American people hey we brought this on ourselves. Set the war aside because I think anyone can see that has been a complete fuck up. Lets just take 9/11 saying that we brought it on ourselves is just wrong. Did the people of Columbine/Virgina Tech bring that on themselves even if they did make fun of the assailants does a rape victim bring it on her self even if she flirts with her attacker before hand. No because my action do not control your reactions. Was flying a plane full of innocent people into a building with more innocent people make any point besides you hit me I hit you in a endless cycle that will get all of us nowhere beside front row seats to mushroom clouds.

And to anyone that thinks a new American President won’t change anything think of 8 years of Bush could have been with 8 years of Gore. World would be a mighty different place. It matters even if your not Amercian.

  20. Ron Paul seems to be a Democrat and he doesn’t even know it. Why is a man who is clearly so sensible standing for the Republican nomination? He can argue his point, unlike Giuliani, who only appealed to the audience’s predictable sympathies, without actually making any point of his own, and has the guts to criticise the current administration on – of all networks – Fox News! Sadly, specifically because of his sound argumentation, he’ll never get the nomination…

    Comment by DavidH — Thu, May 17th, 2007 @ 3:15 am

  21. At least there’s one (more) American who has got it right, Dr.Paul. What he says is right to the point. 9/11 was the first attack on American soil and the sole reason for that is that all the other wars have been fought on foreign soil. Who would be jealous of freedom, most of the countries the U.S has been in war with are just as free in their point of view. I’m surprised that FOX would air such an anti-Bush statement :)

Oh, and well said Kourtney N. Williams. I think a lot of people voted Bush the second time around because of the economical views his party represent. I wonder if these voters think about the money that has been spewn to fund the nonsense war in Iraq and still think the country has gained anything of it. With Gore behind the wheel, there wouldn’t been a war of oil and vengeance nor billions lost to war expenses or casualties for that matter.

And most of the rednecks believe what they see on TV. Like hell they’re going to show “This is how the U.S bombed a city in a foreign country”. They’ll show heroes of the war instead, put a patriotic spin on everything, thus simple people make a decision to support it.

After this, most of the population is thinking “We need to slay them fuckers, an eye for an eye!”, with the politicians craving for votes, agree with the sentiment instead of thinking about the cause and ramifications of actions in U.S foreign policy.

    Comment by Keksi — Thu, May 17th, 2007 @ 3:26 am

  22. Paul is definitely the best Republican candidate… anybody with a brain can see that. The rest are just dangerous populists who I would never trust my life with, but may unfortunately have to.
However, the best, freshest candidate would be Michael Bloomberg, mayor of New York (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Bloomberg). Before you call me crazy, hear me out: He doesn’t come from big money, so has middle-class values. He’s a self-made man, now a billionaire, so he wouldn’t have to worry about being a phoney populist fundraiser like all the rest. He’s been on both sides of the aisle, being a Democrat his whole life and then winning the Republican nomination to become Mayor. He could unite the country in such a great way, and he has his head screwed on right too.

Then again, many people’s worst nightmare is a united American people. ;) Can’t say I blame them, given how we’ve fucked up our foreign policy so badly.

  23. But I don’t think cutting funding to things is “solid economics”.

Generally, as president, Paul would support states’ rights. That includes the right of states to collect taxes and fund their own programs.

I totally agree with that position, because states can operate much more efficiently than the giant federal government—less waste and less chance for corruption. I suppose there’s also a competitive aspect.

ABSOLUTELY! States’ rights would solve so many of America’s problems. You live in Oklahoma? Fine, don’t have your gay marriage. But leave the people in Massachusettes and California to do so if they want. Like your social programs, Rhode Island? Well keep them, and at the same time have Texas be able to go their merry own way. And of course, of course, of course it makes a hell of alot more sense to own a gun in Montana than in New York!

Oh, and one thing about Ron Paul that I believe weakens his appeal — While he seems very clear-headed on economic matters (besides his dream of going back to the Gold standard, which I seriously don’t understand), he’s voted to build the fence on the Mexican border. 36. I must say that I agree with Giuliani that Paul’s statement was quite absurd. The Al-Qaida was originally founded to fight the Saudi Royal family but has since then turned its head more and more towards the US and I think the reason for that is mainly the US’s support for Israel. I think that it would be easier to weaken the radical Islamist groups if the West would have been more united and stood more firmly behind Israel and dealt with slowly growing Islamist groups after the Soviet Union collapsed and there was no real power to challenge the US and Western-Europe. Now, 17 years later, are both Russia and China (and in some cases even India) ready to offer deals and support for dictators and regimes in Middle Eastern countries like Sudan, Syria and Iran.
The only way the US invited Al-Qaida to commit terror deeds on US soil was by not taking care of such groups earlier.

  44. “so you are saying that Support for Israel, caused the attacks?”

No, I’m not saying that at all. People can say it’s because of this reason or because of that reason but the people who executed the attacks are people with no reason. You cannot use reason to explain the behavior of lunatics. Ron Paul does not get this and does not stand a chance of being elected because of it.

If there was a governent behind the attacks, all the rational reasons given for the attacks may be true. But the attack was done by a bunch of religious nut jobs stuck in the middle ages. Osama Bin Ladin and Al Qaida have the same mentality as the local Muslim goatherder who goes and hacks of the heads of his Christian neighbors children. Such behavior cannot be explained with reason.

By the way, my opinion on supporting Israel is that the U.S. should give Isreal all the money and weapons it needs, even if it would bankrupt our country.

The obvious aim of such a high profile atrocity was to provoke an emotion-driven reaction by the United States that would alienate international opinion, and eventually domestic opinion as well.

It appears that the terrorists were very successful in this; the reputation of the United States has been dealt possibly irreprable damage - not by al-Qaeda, but by the Bush regime, with Iran reaping most of the benefits.

The EU or Europe has done irreprable damage to itself. Over the years they have castrated their own power to the point where they have no influence on anything that is not economic. No one really cares what Europe thinks because they removed their own balls years ago.

Participation in Afghanistan and Lebanon are results of the UN memberhip and NATO co-operation. If one hangs around there, one must also contribute something. I was asked to explain, why there are Finnish troops in Afghanistan and Lebanon. Well, that’s the explanation. Does it solve any problems there? I doubt it. Some kid may get his school back for some time, but everything slips back to business as usual, if the locals are not willing to pick themselves up.

Apart from not going to the jail, my motivation to pay taxes is to have decent surroundings here. Obviously, there is also something less motivating coming with the package. That kid getting back to school is acceptable, but adventurism and “progress” by gunpoint is not.

  59. “Finns do mainly boring stuff (to winter at least), such as reconstructing basic infrastructure etc. ”

Then if you are not doing the heavy lifting, you should shut up, unless you have plans to help fix the bigger messes out there in the world.

Like Darfur. If you can not change the world, due to your current economic depressed melfare state, then untill you fix that welfare state, you have no say in other systems being fixed by the USA.

  61. Why should stupidity and ignorance be moderated? I’d rather let them flourish unhindered as a warning example. This is your brain on Faux Noose.

  62. Oh come on, why the heavy lifting should be a government paid freebie to someone. Let them do their own heavy lifting. They may even have a clue, where the hydraulic jack should be placed.

yep until the blogs came along we all just had the BBC. The world was perfect when no one showed us our flaws.

Now we have to hear about our oil scams, our so called help to thugs and killers, and our zero impact on world life.

    Al because we don’t care.

  64. I think David Cross said it best: “I don’t think Osama bin Laden sent those planes to attack us because he hated our freedom. I think he did it because of our support for Israel, our ties with the Saudi family and our military bases in Saudi Arabia. You know why I think that? Because that’s what he fucking said! Are we a nation of 6-year-olds? Answer: yes.”

I spend my nights eating shit and barking at the moon.

I said it so it must be true.

Let see we’ve got bases all over the world, we support countries all over the world, and we’ve got ties with governments (good and bad) all over the world.

But not one German, Japanese, Korean, non-muslim Brit, etc. has attempted a suicide mission on the U.S. Why? Because they are not religious, nut job, zealots, stuck in the middle ages.

Osama says what he says because he knows their are the David Crosses of the world who are looking for rational excuses to pin the blame on the U.S. If Osama was to say “I did it because I’m nuttier than a squirrels winter horde, the whole world would be %100 against him.” Osama is crazy, not dumb.

  66. “Osama is crazy, not dumb”

He was certainly smart enough to put out a video just before the ‘04 election ostensibly calling on Americans to vote against Bush, which just may have actually pushed the election in his favor - just as he intended.

It is the Bush administration’s reactions to al-Qaeda’s actions that have done far more harm to US interests than the actions themselves ever could have.

  69. So Mr Liverbox…

Would it be more rational to say that Mr Osama sent those planes into the WTC towers because he “hated freedom”…

Another little quote by david cross, probably not 100% accurate…
“If the terrorists hated freedom, the Netherlands would be fucking dust.”

I know it seems like I got no brain at all, just using quotes to argue, but:
“Derek says it’s always good to end a paper with a quote. He says someone else has already said it best. So if you can’t top it, steal from them and go out strong.” - Danny Vinyard

    :-P ahh, quotes :-P
