I thought for sure it was, there was an article about this in some newspaper, they interviewed the photographer, he said the woman was yelling from inside the box. Still sounds like a great practical joke to me.

I think the granpa and granma had a little fight, so grandpa put her in the box to cool off for a while. Certainly not legal. I’m sure the police (or social services) would like to have a word with them.
