I guess it’s important nowadays to know if band plays death-, speed-, black-, or whatever metals there is. To me it seems funny.
Does anyone remember the good old days when in (Soundi, Help) mail order catalogs there were labels for pop, rock, prog. and heavy music. Under the heavy -label there were Kiss, Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper… You liked the band, you listened it and didn’t have to figure what sub-genre it might represent.
