Finnish female bodybuilders

Tags: Uncategorized — Author: @ 11:40 pm

Did anyone catch that female bodybuilder documentary on Nelonen tonight? If you didn’t know better, you’d think you were watching homosexual men dressed in drag – I’ve see more feminine drag queens than these bodybuilders.

Finland has had a couple famous female bodybuilders over the past couple decades. Kike Elomaa won Ms. Olympia in 1982, the highest honor for bodybuilders. Marja Lehtonen (pictured below) took third place in the same competition in 2004. Yes, that is a woman you’re looking at.

If anyone wants to see the harmful effects of drugs, just browse the online galleries of these female bodybuilders. And for a real laugh, listen to how these girls sound, the drugs have severely deepened their voices.

Whoa! I can almost see a pork sword hanging out. Kinda reminds me of Miss Mann from Scary Movie.

That’s Iggy Pop in a good shape.

  • Passer-by

She’s horrible, but at least Kike Elomaa is a MILF.

  • volinthius

Sure she’s atypical woman but those muscles just look fine. I wonder if I could hire her as my bodyguard; she could’ve knocked out all the roughnecks during May Day.

  • Confused of Konala

What Kervå said. I concur. Iggy in his prime. Can this one sing?

  • winter

Wow. Nobody should ever meet her in a dark alley.

    Very scary…

    oh, for cryin’ out loud..!

I’ve always wondered if these bodybuilding women are actually transsexuals and just can’t admit it to themselves. Otherwise why would any woman do something like that to her body?

And yes, I’ve also seen males that are far more feminine than she in the picture, for example everytime I look in the mirror. :)

I don’t know, but my comment might be off topic

Which is more sorrowful, a women such as Marja or a woman wearing a veil in Afghanistan!

    ohmygodohmygod, those nails!

Abu, the one that does not get to choose by herself.

  • Helsinkian

Abu Omar: if you’re a libertarian your answer should be obvious. Marja is doing whatever she likes and is not hurting anybody else (what’s sorrowful about that?) whereas the women in Afghanistan who are forced to wear a veil are in a sorrowful situation. That’s the kind of ethic that I think works for those of us who aren’t libertarian as well, at least in most situations (not all situations are that simple).

Phil: the girls who are into bodybuilding do not necessarily choose to do it because they want to be feminine. Many ladies have throughout the ages wanted to look masculine, some of them transsexual, others lesbian, even others straight. Is everything you do masculine (e.g. do you look like a male bodybuilder) and should we care?

Åboy: in the 80s a lot of people thought Grace Jones looked cool.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grace_Jones

Kike Elomaa was huge during the 80s here and made a lot of women want to look like her. So we have a long tradition of success in female bodybuilding.

The point about Finnish female bodybuilders could as well apply to a Finnish rock star like Michael Monroe. He didn’t (and doesn’t) want to look like what he looks like because he wanted (wants) to look like a man or because most men in the 80s wanted to look like him. He created a feminine glam look because he thought it looked cool (and other male rock stars had wanted to look feminine before him).

Phil: I do agree with you on the harmful effects of drugs. I was a bit surprised to read it, though, since you’re usually so pro-drug (let’s legalize everything). Many rock stars (to mention one group of people) have also taken a lot of drugs but the harmful effects on them (like Keith Richards) are usually glorified rather than mentioned as something negative. Rock stars, of course, aren’t doing competitive sports while on drugs. I actually support anti-drug policies in all sports because of the kids. If drugs would be as ok in most other sports as they seem to be in bodybuilding, most kids doing sports would be encouraged by their coaches and parents to take drugs. Now that there is a ban on drugs in most sports, even the coaches know there’s a risk in getting caught and even national heroes like Harri Kirvesniemi end up gaining a bad reputation because they take drugs.

While I’d want to see drugs decriminalized, I would never encourage the use whatsoever! The same goes for something like abortion, it’s legal, but it’s not to be used as birth control.

    strangly erotic..

    Bwahahahahaha no, serously.. like WTF!

  • Al Liber

I do agree with you on the harmful effects of drugs.
Something being “harmful” is merely a belief. Your opinion makes you sound like a fundamentalist.

  • Helsinkian

Al Liber: I wasn’t talking about the medical usage of drugs. The same stuff can cure you of a disease when you use it in the right situation and cause you another disease when you abuse it. I guess that goes for most, if not all drugs.

My friends and i talked about this during lunch. The consensus was that, “It’s their choice an life so wtfever. But daaaaaaaamnnnnn…”

Body building is sick, but at least these adult women don’t
torture children, like this kid’s parents:

kike was still a woman .. after that the sport went downhill

the voices in the documentary were revealing. also, the growth/male hormons make the ladies clits grow to be little fingers. figure that..

  • http://danielraylane.com Dan

My god WOMAN you are gorgeous

  • Ron

I have said this before and will say it again; Unnatural and horrible to wake up with such a woman or whatever…
Women like this look like aliens to me!
Their voices sound like male voices indeed.
They use male growth hormons, so this is downright pure doping!
In the Netherlands female bodybuilding is also disapproved by many women and they found it also ghastly!
But I admire their determination to get muscles like this!

    are you a man

  • ryan

    your hotttt

  • kaleb

    wats your number

  • Mr.D

I hate bodybuilders like her. Because of them every one thinks that any woman who goes into wait lifting is going to be ugly. Their are some rather beautiful female bodybuilders out there. Melissa Dettwiller and Melissa Froio are perfect examples of that.

  • Anonymous

I hope you know it is not wait lifting.
