Finland for Thought Politics, current events, culture - In Finland & United States
Tervetuloa | Welcome As an American living in Finland, I started this blog six years ago to address the political and cultural issues in Finland and the United States - but lately this blog is just a place for me to make fun of Finns and Americans. :-)
Is the song in comment 2 something to do with not being ashamed of admitting you are homosexual (the song that is, not Jason Ward). Anything that encourages people not to hide their true selves is good.

Oh man that was a great gig! Highlights were of course Personal J, Enjoy, and one of my favorites, Shake the Disease done perfectly!
Drop by and say hi the next time you’re around TL 1.. )

Incredible concert, those guys put on such a good show, they sincerely look like they’re having alot of fun even after 25 years of touring.
Here’s my question though – Did the crowd not know the words to the songs? Or just didn’t sing along. Dave Gahan almost began laughing cause so people were singing, and the ones that were singing were doing so poorly (me). Me and some girl from Radio Extreme were the only ones singing within 10 meters on the floor near the stage!
Hmm yea, the problem for me at least is that I haven’t really had the chance to listen to the newest album that much so I just couldn’t remember the words. Then again, all the older songs left me with a sore throat.
I was also wondering how people who just happened to be there see the band or if they’ve been introduced to it just a while ago. I saw a friend there who got hooked last autumn. I’m sure they wonder why the hell doesn’t Dave sing the chorus on Enjoy the Silence. There’s like this sort of Rule of Conduct in Depeche Mode gigs on how to behave. Put your arms up in Personal Jesus, sing the chorus on Enjoy the Silence and so forth
Still, brilliant gig. I didn’t expect it to be visually anything compared to the exciter-tour since I heard this one’s gonna be more low key, but man I loved those live visual comps they did and I hope there’s gonna be a dvd. I Already have One night in Paris and just ordered the Devotional DVD.
Can I just say that I hate being in France right now? Everybody is talking about this fabulous gig and I’m stuck here with no tickets and no money to buy them.
I have to say that the band was surprisingly good compared to the concert where they had that ugly aquarium. The audience did suck bigtime. Nobody in the audience could sing. Embarrassing.

Man, I clapped my hands so hard all the time that they got brused!!
I got so nuts. Was a long waited dream coming finally to realitty afterall.
I was way up on the seats but of course I had to stand up and dance and sing it all out loud and alone!!… a lot!
Everything counts in large amounts!!
Finns must have thought I was some crazy teen ehehehe!! Where were you? You never answered our message..
Oh, I wish I could have been there, but work kept me up here in Pohjanmaa… I guess I’ll have to live on the memories of the Ecxiter-tour. I’m enjoying hearing about it and looking forward to a dvd, though.
I think I’ve heard of these guys sometime, never heard a song though..

Yesm of course you have -
You had something to hide
Should have hidden it, shouldn’t you
Now you’re not satisfied
With what you’re being put through
It’s just time to pay the price
For not listening to advice
And deciding in your youth
On the policy of truth…………!
C’mon man…
