Phil, your friendly cleaner
I’m getting out of IT and switching to the paper industry, particular the field of cleaning sanitary engineering…
The wages of a cleaner in the paper industry without extras is nearly EUR 2,000 a month. According to Statistics Finland, the average monthly pay for all Finns is EUR 2,287.

i hear ya im in metal workers union and its going to piss me off if we go on strike and lose wages supporting a union that wont accept what we have already accepted. i all for union muscle but there is a limit must of these people live in areas where u can rent a house for just over hundred euros a month and they still not happy. this weakons all unions when we do have a just case in the future people are gonna think its just more money grabbin unions. your point about the cleaner thats prob most difficult job there all machines automated so its sit there and every couple of weeks it might shut down so the poor guy gotta stand up walk over to the button and with all his might lift his finger up and press the green button. poor little things

See, I told you. It was in the string about AKAVA’s and Metalli’s white collar wing reaching an agreement with the employer side few months ago. If you want to see your union fees in hard work, get a job from a paper factory and join Paperiliitto.
They don’t have to complain like ISS ServiSystems, or what ever it is today, that people don’t want to do cleaning jobs.
Considering the latin discussion below, if servus is slave in latin, what is Servi then?

All cleaners should get paid more, it’s hard work.
