Politics, current events, culture - In Finland & United States

Tervetuloa | Welcome
As an American living in Finland, I started this blog six years ago to address the political and cultural issues in Finland and the United States - but lately this blog is just a place for me to make fun of Finns and Americans. :-)

Find out more about me from my personal or professional sites. Enjoy!

Right to know their sperm daddy?

Tags: Uncategorized — Author: Phil @ 10:56 pm

From a Helsingin Sanomat Int’l Ed. article about “proposed legislation would allow treatment for single women and lesbian couples.”…

The controversial proposal would allow single women and female couples access to fertility treatment, and it would give children born as the result of fertility treatment the right to know their biological fathers once they reach legal age.

This isn’t for real, is it? Sperm donors are going to have surprise visits from unknown kids 18 years after they donate?? Please tell me that I’m misinterpreting this article!

  1. I think they just passed a similar law in Australia and now they’re paying for sperm donors to fly over for a wank holiday…
