So their sense of humour is not restricted by what can be shown to 12 year olds and what not. Besides, while Peter is a focal point of Family Guy, it's Stewie who we're watching it for. "Family Guy" is good, but Simpsons is way better IMO. IMO, Family Guy is a big rip-off of the Simpsons, the father in the show is written exactly like Homer Simpson. “Family Guy” is good, but Simpsons is way better IMO. IMO, Family Guy is a big rip-off of the Simpsons, the father in the show is written exactly like Homer Simpson. But yeah, the last couple seasons of the Simpsons have been sub-par. My Ricky Gervais can help them out!

Office is great. I got the complete box set as a Christmas gift from Johanna (which wasn't a bad gift from her point of view either). The Christmas special is just brilliant. We've been watching Black Books, too, just finished Season 1 yesterday. While The Office is a perfect example of "serious" humour, Black Books is one of the better shows when it comes to absurdity. Being a fan of Simpsons, how do you like Family Guy? We like it probably better than Simpsons, at least it's all quite fresh unlike the later Simpsons seasons. Then again, it was terminated after three seasons so it didn't have the time to go stale. Still, brilliant material and if you haven't seen it, you really should. Doing my top-5 list is tricky, but I guess there's Monty Python's Flying Circus, Family Guy, Fast Show, Black Adder and The Office. Very British, that is. Simpsons and Futurama aren't far, but the rest of the runners-up are either Finnish (Julmahuvi, Kummeli) or British (Smack the Pony, Black Books, Absolutely Fabulous, Big Train).
