Finnish-American boys tell courts they want to live in Finland

Even more developments in the big embarrasment to the Finnish judicial system which is, the custody battle involving two Finnish-American boys. The boys have supposedly told a Finnish court that they’d like to live in Finland and goto school in Espoo, but spend summers in the United States with their father. You’d think that decision would put two points in the win column for the Finnish mother, but I doubt it…
When the Finnish boys return home to the United States for the summer, you’ll never see them return to Finland – the father won’t allow it. In the U.S., the father had been granted sole custody because the mother kidnapped the children and broke the joint custody agreement. If she would step foot on U.S. soil, they’d arrest her at the airport gates and try her for kidnapping. So, there is no way she could get her kids back once they reach the United States.
Obviously the mother will figure this out and appeal the decision made by her two sons. This custody battle is far from over and I look foward to more half-baked developments from Ms. Koski and the Finnish government.
